OUR HISTORY T.D. Smith and Ronald D. Allred, Chairman of the Board of the Telluride Ski and Golf Company that founded The Telluride Mountain Village founded Telluride Real Estate Corporation in 1981. Initially, its primary focus was to market the master developer's land product in the new 2500 unit mid-mountain development. From 1984 to 1993, Telluride Real Estate Corporation marketed in excess of $200,000,000 in land sales in that project. The five partners - TD Smith, Don McLean, Dave Flatt, Steve Catsman, and Steve Hilbert - purchased the ski company's shareholder interest in 1992. In 2003, Buzz Fedorka became the sixth partner in TREC. Buzz was previously with the firm from 1992 to 1998. Buzz, and his wife Mary, offer great marketing expertise and high standards of professionalism which greatly enhance the productivity of the TREC team. In 2004, TREC established an affiliate in Ridgway, the Ridgway Real Estate Corporation. This gives us a territory extending from Montrose to Rico. TREC's staff consists of 38 real estate brokers, 10 assistants and 6 administrative staff members. The key characteristic of its staff is longevity in the trade. TREC maintains many prime, high traffic, office locations. TREC's affiliation with Christie's Great Estates has opened new avenues of approaching high net worth clientele through a network of more than 650 real estate brokerage offices and 15,000 estate agents in the Christie's Great Estates affiliate network. This network should afford our listing clientele a great deal of exposure on an international basis through its full color brochure display program and Great Estates magazine circulation of over 100,000. Within this brokerage, there are many relationships with individuals who have spheres of influence with Fortune 500 companies, investment banking firms and the entertainment industry. We have found that in spite of all of the state of the art methods of marketing properties (web sites videos and upscale advertising), it is long-standing personal relationships that bring buyer and seller together
